Terms of Use

Effective date: 25 May 2026  ·  Operated by Musos.app, Cambridge UK

1. About Musos.app

Musos.app is an online directory of live music events at grassroots venues, starting in Cambridge and expanding across the UK. It is a personal project operated by Musos.app, currently free to use for all users.

The platform serves three types of users:

  • Gig-goers: browse and discover live music events
  • Venue operators: submit gig listings for review and publication
  • Bands and musicians: create a public profile and list gigs

Musos.app is a discovery and directory service only. It is not a ticket seller, booking agent, event promoter or venue operator. Any links to external websites, social pages or ticketing platforms are provided for convenience and are not operated by or affiliated with Musos.app.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using Musos.app, whether to browse, submit a listing, or create a profile, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms apply to all users. Additional obligations apply to venue operators and bands/musicians who submit content, as set out in Sections 5 and 6.

3. Browsing the Platform (Gig-Goers)

You do not need to create an account to browse Musos.app. No personal data is collected from you when you browse.

Event information on Musos.app is submitted by venue operators and is published in good faith. We do not independently verify event details and cannot guarantee listings are accurate, current or complete. Events may be cancelled, postponed or changed without notice to us. You should always verify event details directly with the venue before travelling or making any arrangements.

Musos.app periodically reviews and removes outdated listings but does not guarantee that all listings reflect current or upcoming events. Past events may remain visible on the platform for a period after they have taken place.

External links to venue websites, band pages, social media and ticketing platforms are provided for convenience only. We do not control those sites and cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy or content. The inclusion of a link does not constitute an endorsement.

4. Third Party Ticketing

Ticket purchases are made through third party platforms and are subject to those platforms' own terms and conditions. Musos.app is not a party to any ticket transaction and accepts no responsibility for refunds, cancellations or disputes arising from ticket purchases.

5. Submitting a Gig Listing (Venue Operators)

5.1 Who can submit

Gig listings may be submitted by venue operators or by anyone with authority to submit on behalf of the venue, for example a promoter or booking manager. By submitting a listing, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

Listings may be submitted in two ways: via the submission form on Musos.app, or by emailing gig details to gigs@musos.app. Both routes are subject to the same review process and the same terms set out in this section.

5.2 Accuracy of submissions

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. By submitting a listing you confirm that:

  • All event details are accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time of submission
  • You have the right to use any content included in the submission
  • The listing does not contain false, misleading or defamatory information

If event details change after a listing is published, for example if the event is cancelled or rescheduled, you are responsible for requesting an update or deletion via the platform.

5.3 Review and publication

All submissions are reviewed before publication. Musos.app reserves the right to approve, reject or remove any listing at its discretion, without being required to give a reason. Submission of a listing does not guarantee publication.

5.4 Content licence and promotional use

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant Musos.app a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, publish and distribute that content on the Musos.app platform for as long as the listing is live.

You also acknowledge that your submitted details may be featured in promotional content published on Musos.app's social media accounts, including TikTok and Instagram. This is offered as free promotion for your event. If you prefer your listing not to be featured in Musos.app social media content, please notify us at hello@musos.app and we will exclude your listing from future posts.

5.5 Removal of listings

You may request removal of your listing at any time using the deletion request feature on the platform. Removal requests are verified against the original submission email address.

5.6 Venue and event data added by Musos.app

Musos.app may add publicly available venue and event information to the platform without prior notification to the venue. This includes information already published on venue websites or public event listings. Such information may also be featured in Musos.app's promotional social media content (see section 5.4). Venues and event organisers may request removal at any time by contacting hello@musos.app.

6. Creating a Band or Musician Profile

6.1 Who can create a profile

Profiles may be created by bands, acts or individual musicians. By creating a profile, you confirm that you are the person or act described, or that you have authority to act on their behalf.

6.2 Content of profiles

Profile information is displayed publicly on Musos.app. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile. By creating a profile you confirm that:

  • The information is accurate and not misleading
  • You have the right to use any content you include, including images, links and biographical text
  • You will not include false contact details or impersonate another artist or band

Personal information in profiles: If you are an individual musician creating a personal profile, please do not include sensitive personal information in your bio or any free-text field, for example health details, financial information or religious beliefs. Only include what you are comfortable being publicly visible on the internet.

6.3 Content licence and promotional use

You retain ownership of your profile content. By submitting it, you grant Musos.app a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform for as long as your profile is live.

You also acknowledge that your profile details and any gig listings you submit may be featured in promotional content on Musos.app's social media accounts, including TikTok and Instagram. This is offered as free promotion. If you prefer not to be featured, please contact hello@musos.app.

6.4 Removal of profiles

You may request removal of your profile at any time by contacting hello@musos.app. We will action this within a reasonable time and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6.5 Professional capacity

By creating a profile or listing yourself as available for dep or session work, you confirm you are doing so in a professional capacity as a performer or music professional. Profile information will be publicly visible and may be used by other musicians, bands and venues to make contact with you for professional purposes.

7. No Endorsement

The inclusion of any venue, event or artist on Musos.app does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of quality by Musos.app. Listings are provided for information purposes only.

8. Content Standards

All content submitted to Musos.app, whether a gig listing or a band profile, must not:

  • Be false, inaccurate or deliberately misleading
  • Be defamatory of any person, band or venue
  • Infringe the copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Contain spam, promotional content unrelated to the listed event, or unsolicited advertising
  • Contain content that is offensive, discriminatory, or harmful

Musos.app reserves the right to remove content that does not meet these standards and to restrict or block access to the platform for users who repeatedly breach them.

Musos.app is not responsible for the content of listings or profiles submitted by users. We reserve the right to remove content that we become aware is inaccurate, defamatory, or in breach of third party rights, but we are under no obligation to monitor all content proactively.

9. Intellectual Property

The Musos.app name, logo, design and original written content on the platform are the property of Musos.app. You may not reproduce, copy or distribute any part of the platform without permission.

Content submitted by venue operators and bands remains their own property, as set out in Sections 5 and 6.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Musos.app is provided free of charge on an 'as is' basis. While every effort is made to keep the platform available and the information on it accurate, no warranties are given as to:

Musos.app is provided on a best efforts basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform and accept no liability for any loss arising from the platform being unavailable.

Your statutory rights as a consumer (where applicable) are not affected.

11. Privacy

The collection and use of personal data submitted to Musos.app is governed by the Musos.app Privacy Policy.

By submitting a listing or creating a profile, you confirm that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

  • Attempt to circumvent or interfere with the platform's security or functionality
  • Use the platform to send unsolicited communications to venues, bands or other users

For the avoidance of doubt, this section applies to third party use of the Musos.app platform. Musos.app's own collection of publicly available event information from venue websites is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy and does not fall within this restriction.

13. No Agency or Partnership

Nothing in these terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture or employment relationship between Musos.app and any venue, band, musician or user.

14. Changes to the Platform, Listings and These Terms

Musos.app is a developing project. Features, functionality and scope may change over time. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without notice.

Musos.app reserves the right to edit, reformat or remove any listing or profile at any time, including where listings do not meet our content standards or where the platform is being restructured.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this document shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
